Many Farms High School in Many Farms, Arizona, has implemented a robust support system to boost student achievement and graduation rates, which rose from 59% in 2022-2023 to 88% in 2023-2024 and maintained 86% in 2024-2025. Key to this success are three academic counselors who guide students from their freshman to senior year, providing personalized support through one-on-one meetings and small group sessions. Counselors also teach classes, increasing visibility and daily student interaction. Principal Louise Donald emphasizes relationship-building, dedicating the first two weeks of the year to connection-focused activities. A “watch list” helps identify students needing extra support, while biweekly counselor meetings track cohort trends.

Student accountability is reinforced through credit checklists, daily attendance monitoring, and consistent communication via Schoology, notification applications, and the school website. Community partnerships with organizations such as the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, the Office of Diné Youth, and the Navajo Nation Police Department provide additional resources. Students also benefit from college and career readiness events and a dual enrollment program with Diné College. These efforts reflect a school-wide commitment to student success, ensuring that every student is seen, supported, and set up to succeed.
