Family Involvement

Many Farms High School recognizes parents and guardians as valuable partners in helping students reach their full potential. As a team, families and school staff work together to create the best possible education plans. Research shows that a strong school-family partnership is important throughout the learning process and fosters academic achievement.

Parents and guardians are their children’s first teachers and should remain involved in their child’s classroom learning. Family involvement in a student’s educational program, including extracurricular activities, helps students develop and maintain lifelong learning habits. Students whose families take an active role in the learning process will experience significant advantages in their academic performance.

Parent Advisory Committee

Our Parent Advisory Committee is composed of parents, guardians and school personnel. The PAC holds regular meetings on the first Wednesday of every month to design an effective school plan. The school notifies all parents/guardians of the finalized policy via easily understandable written correspondence. Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in ongoing involvement to improve the school’s Parent/Guardian Involvement Policy.

Parent/Guardian-School Compact

The Parent/Guardian-School Compact establishes a partnership between parents, guardians, school staff and students to promote student achievement. It outlines all parties' shared responsibilities in fostering an effective learning environment. Frequent two-way communication is also emphasized to help students meet the Navajo Nation's academic achievement standards.

Through our academic, athletic, and cultural programs, students are supported and prepared to become leaders in our Navajo community. We invite families and community members to contribute knowledge and support to Many Farms High School’s holistic curriculum. Our students will continue reaching their full potential through constant family and community involvement.
