Many Farms High School provides the necessary learning accommodations and resources for students with special needs. We believe in creating tailored educational plans to develop individual strengths and address learning gaps. Our special education program supports students in becoming confident, capable and independent lifelong learners. Collaboration between parents/guardians, teachers, specialists and students is key to developing effective educational plans.

We are committed to ensuring that students with special needs receive the same benefits from our high-quality learning environment as guaranteed by law. Our program fully complies with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. These federal laws protect students with disabilities from discrimination and ensure they receive the same educational opportunities as their peers.

Child Find

Child Find is a process designed to identify, locate and evaluate individuals from birth to 21 years of age who may need special education and related services. If you are concerned that your child may have a disability, contact your local school district for more information about the Child Find process.

  • Participate in and benefit from the school’s educational programs without discrimination based on disability.
  • Be provided an equal opportunity to participate in the school’s nonacademic and extracurricular activities.
  • Be educated in facilities and receive services that are comparable to those provided to students without disabilities.
  • Receive accommodations and/or auxiliary aids and services to allow your child an equal opportunity to participate in school activities.
  • Receive auxiliary aids and services without cost to allow your child an equal opportunity to participate in school activities.

At Many Farms High School,  our special education program promotes not only academic achievement but also social-emotional development and overall wellness.
